Kalispell Forecast 03-08-10 3:28 pm

Finally, some much needed snow in western Montana!  Missoula received anywhere from an inch up to 4 inches with 7 inches around Evaro, 5 inches in Anaconda and 2 inches at Hamilton.

Tonight and tomorrow, the snow will shift into southwest Montana.  Butte and Bozeman could see 1 to 3 inches and up to 7 inches in West Yellowstone.  A winter weather advisory is posted for areas above 5500 feet along and east of the divide.  This includes Homestake, Bozeman, Monida, Raynolds and Targhee Passes where up to 8 inches of snow are possible.

Some breaks in the clouds are expected west of the divide, including Missoula and Kalispell.  Fog is expected to form in these areas along with patchy areas of black ice.  Motorists are urged to be very cautious for slick roadways!

Temperatures will be a little below average for this time of the year through Wednesday, but will bounce back up above normal by Friday.
